Ingredients
  1. 1) Beef fillets 1 kg
  2. 2) Yogurt 1 cup
  3. 3) Papaya (green) 2 tsp
  4. 4) Black cumin 1/2 tsp
  5. 5) Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  6. 6) Black pepper corns 6
  7. 7) Cloves 3
  8. 8) Small cardamoms (choti ilaichi) 6
  9. 9) Chickpeas flour 2 tbsp
  10. 10) Red chili powder 1 tsp
  11. 11) Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  12. 12) Ginger and garlic paste 1 tsp
  13. 13) Onion thinly sliced 1 large
  14. 14) Salt to taste
  15. 15) Oil 3/4 cup
  16. Garnish
  17. 1) Spring coriander (fresh)
  18. 2) Finely chopped 1 bunch
  19. 3) Spring fresh mint leaves
  20. 4) Finely chopped 1 bunch
  21. 5) Green chilies chopped 4
  22. 7) Lemons 2
Method
  • 1. Pound the beef fillets with a meat pounder, mix all the spices and ground papaya yogurt.
  • 2. Now coat each fillet with this paste, and then place in layers.
  • 3. Leave this to marinate for 45-60 minutes.
  • 4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions golden brown.
  • 5. Add fillets to the pan cover and cook on low heat.
  • 6. Do not add any water to it.
  • 7. When its natural water evaporates, squeeze lemon juice on it and sprinkle with chopped green masala.
  • 8. Cover with a lid and cook again for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
