For the ginger sauce ,blend together the piece of ginger, 3-4 red chilies,3-4 cloves , 2tbsp vinegar and 1tbsp fish sauce.
To prepare the beef
Wash 1/2kg rice and cook till half done. Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan and fry the finely chopped garlic cloves along with 1 chopped onion.
Add ½ meat and fry until the color changes
Add the ginger sauce, ½ cup coconut milk, salt as required, 1tbsp curry powder,1/2tsp cinnamon powder and 1/2tsp white pepper powder
Cook for a few minutes then add 2-3 lemon leaves, 1/2litre stock and rice. Cook until the rice is done and the beef becomes tender
Transfer into a serving dish, garnish with sliced ginger and serve.
