Ingredients
  1. 1) Maple Lodge Farms Ground Chicken 1 1/2 lbs / 750 g
  2. 2) dry bread crumbs 1/2 cup / 125 ml
  3. 3) small onion, chopped 1
  4. 4) egg 1
  5. 5) salt 1 tsp / 5 ml
  6. 6) dried thyme 1/2 tsp / 2 ml
  7. 7) pepper 1/2 tsp / 2 ml
  8. 8) sliced fresh mushrooms 2 cups / 500 ml
  9. 9) butter 1 tbsp / 15 ml
  10. 10) chili sauce 1/4 cup / 50 ml
Method
  • 1. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, onion, egg and seasonings.
  • 2. In a skillet, cook mushrooms in butter for 3 to 4 minutes.
  • 3. add to chicken mixture; mix well.
  • 4. Spoon into an 8 x 4 inch (1.5 L) loaf pan and smooth the surface.
  • 5. Bake at 350° F (180°C) for about 1 1/4 hours until a meat thermometer registers 185°F (85°C).
  • 6. Spread chili sauce over the surface after baking 1 hour.
  • 7. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.
