Ingredients
  1. white fish red snapper fillet 1kg
    Oil for deep frying
    Batter ingredients
    plain flour / maida1 cup
    milk 1/2 cup
    water 1/2 cup
     baking powder 1/4 cup
     Salt to taste
    carom seeds1 tsp
    red chili                1/2 tsp
    finely chopped green chili1- 2
    marinating ingredients
    turmeric powder1 tsp
    Salt to taste
    dry roasted cumin1tsp
    ginger paste1 tsp
    garlic paste1 tsp
    lemon Juice 2-3
    Masala Chips
    Ingredients
    4-5 large potatoes, cut in to thick chips
    2 tbsp rice flour
    Chaat masala
    Khaatai
    Salt to taste
    Vinegar
    Oil to deep fry
     
Method
  • 1. To make batter whisk together the flour, milk, water, baking powder,
    and salt in a bowl until smooth
    2. Marinate fish with marinate above and leave for 10-15 minutes.
    3. To fry fish: Heat oil to deep fry in wok on medium heat – once hot,
    dip fish in batter and fry for a few minutes until crispy and fluffy, drain
    with slotted spoon and place on kitchen paper to soak of excess oil. Serve
    immediately

    1. Boil water and add 1/2 tsp salt in a saucepan and boil cut potatoes
    for 4-6 minutes until half cooked, drain
    2. . Heat oil on medium heat, coat potatoes in rice flour, and fry for a
    few minutes until golden brown
    3. To serve, sprinkle khaatai, chaat masala, salt and vinegar.
