Ingredients
  1. Fish 1 kg
    Red chili 1 tsp
    Salt   1/2 tsp
    Carom seeds powder 1/2 tsp
    Flour  2 tbsp
    Oil (for frying)  1 cup
    Ingredients for Gravy
    Fried onion 1 cup
    Yogurt 1 cup
    Tomato  2
    Curry leaves  4
    Green chilies  6
    Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
    Red chili powder  2 tsp
    Coriander powder 2 tsp
    Salt  1/2 tsp
    Poppy seeds (roasted)  2 tbsp
    Sesame  2 tbsp
    Oil   4 tbsp
    Tamarind pulp  4 tbsp
Method
  • Marinate 1 kg fish with 2 tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp carom seeds powder, and 1 tsp red chili powder.
    Then fry in 1 cup oil till golden brown.
    Method for Gravy
    In a pan, put 1 cup yogurt, 4 tbsp tamarind pulp, 2 tsp red chili powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 4 curry leaves, 2 tbsp poppy seeds, 2 tbsp sesame, 1 cup fried onion and 1/2 tsp salt.
    Mix well. Make a layer of this mixture in Thali, now put the fried fish and top with tomato slices and green chilies.
    Bake for 20 minutes in a pre heated oven of 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
