Ingredients
  1. Petha 1-1/2kg
    Khoya 750g
    Sugar 500g
    Ghee 250g
    Green cardamoms 10
    Melon seeds as required
Method
  • Grate the petha and cook in a deep skillet for 15 minutes. Do not add water.
    Pulse the petha in a food processor. In a separate pan add2 50g ghee , 10 cardamoms, 500g sugar and the petha paste.
    Cook until the halwa reduces into a deep amber and glossy mixture.
    Spoon into a serving dish. Garnish with crumbled khoya and serve hot,
