Ingredients
  1. Fish fillet½ kg
    Saltto taste
    Garlic paste1 tbsp
    Onion chopped1
    Boiled tomatoes3
    Crushed red pepper1 tsp
    Cumin seeds crushed1 tsp
    Coriander seeds crushed1 tsp
    Pickled masala2 tbsp
    Turmeric1 tsp
    Lemon juice2 tbsp
    Plum (soaked)50 gm
    Egg1
    Corn flour4 tbsp
    Flour2 tbsp
    Oilfor fry
    Oil3 tbsp
    Curry leavesfew
Method
  • Cut ½ kg fish into pieces, marinate with salt, 1 egg, 2 tbsp flour and 4 tbsp corn flour. Now fry with 3 tbsp oil and keep aside.
    In a wok heat a little oil. Add 1 tbsp garlic paste, 2 tbsp pickled spice mix , 1 tsp crushed cumin and 1 tsp crushed coriander seeds. Mix well for 1 – 2 minutes.
    Then add 1 chopped onion, 3 boiled chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 50 gm soaked plum and ½ cup of water. Cover and cook on low flame for 6 – 7 minutes.
    Then remove lid, add in fried fish, mix well and serve hot.
