1. In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking powder.
2. Add mashed potatoes and onion until thoroughly mixed.
3. In another bowl whisk the eggs and milk, and stir into the potato mixture.
4. Add corn syrup and nutmeg and mix. Heat a large non-stick frying pan.
5. Coat with oil and spoon the potato mixture, spreading evenly to form palm-sized kebabs.
6. Fry until brown on both sides. Add oil each time before frying.
7. Serve hot.
