Ingredients
  1. Red chili powder1-1/2tsp
    Turmeric½ tsp
    Dry coriander1tsp
    Tara garam masala2tsp
    Fenugreek seeds2tsp
    Ingredients
    Turnip500 grams
    Medium sized onion1
    Tomato 2
    Garlic2tsp
    Oil¼ cup
    Salt1tsp
    Green chili3-4
    Green coriander ¼ cup
Method
  • Heat oil in a pan, fry 1 onion, 2 tomatoes and 2tsp garlic
    Then add 500 grams of turnip, salt, 1-1/2 tsp of red chili powder,1/2 tsp of turmeric ,1tsp of dry coriander,2tsp garam masala,2 tsp fenugreek seeds  and allow to cook .
    Add ¼ cup of water and keep on simmer to tenderize the turnips.
    Dish out and Garnish with green chilies and green coriander
    Delicious shaljam masala is ready to serve
