  1. • Brain (Siri) 1
  2. • Onions 2
  3. • Ginger-garlic paste 4 tsp
  4. • Salt 1 tsp
  5. • Chili (grounded) 2 tsp
  6. • Coriander seeds (crushed) 2 tsp
  7. • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  8. • Curd 1/2 cup
  9. • Whole all spice
  10. • All spice (grounded) 1 tsp
  11. • Oil 1/2 cup
Method
  • 1. First thoroughly wash the siri.
  • 2. Then boil salt and turmeric.
  • 3. Drain out and keep siri aside.
  • 4. Heat oil in a pan and fry whole all spice and onions till golden brown.
  • 5. Add in siri and fry well.
  • 6. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry.
  • 7. Add salt too.
  • 8. Now add in coriander powder, red chilies, curd and fry.
  • 9. Keep frying until oil starts to separate and float.
  • 10. Add enough water to cook meat.
  • 11. When the meat is tender add in grounded all-spice.
  • 12. Cook till gravy thickens.
  • 13. Garnish with lemon quarters and green chillies.
  • 14. Serve hot with paye and naan.

Siri Paya is good but they should cook in the time of winters not in summers time because this recipe contains high cholesterol that make you warm in winters.

In the siri paya the only brain is include or also the tongue of the cow is also available to make it more delicious in the taste? I never eat any times but my husband insist me to make it in the home.

Any one tell me the quick and easy way to wash the brain because there are many veins in the brain which is quiet difficult to wash, it is never good if it is in the mouth of some one, usually I boil before make.
