Ingredients
  1. Vegetable oil 1 glass
  2. Yogurt 1 glass
  3. Semolina 2 glass
  4. Sugar 1/2 glass
  5. Vanilla sugar 1 pack
  6. Backing powder 1 tsp
  7. Eggs 3
  8. Cherries 1 tin or nuts (optional)
  9. For Sugar Syrup:
  10. Sugar 2, 1/2 glass
  11. Water 2, 1/2 glass
  12. Lemon juice of 1
  13. *Use the same glass for the entire recipe*
Method
  • 1.For Cake:
  • 1.Beat together sugar and eggs till creamy.
  • 2.Mix in yogurt and oil.
  • 3.Gradually add rest of the ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • 4.Grease a cake pan with some oil and pour the cake batter in it.
  • 5.Bake for 20 - 30 min at 190 C. (check after 20 minutes if the cake is ready)
  • 2For Sugar Syrup:
  • 1.Cook together sugar, lemon juice and water til done.
  • 2.Pour the sugar syrup on cake and let it absorb.
  • 3.Garnish with cherries or nuts, cut in squares and enjoy.
  • Note: Cooking Time: 50-55 minuts, Serving: 5-6 persons
