Ingredients
  1. 4 eggs,
  2. a little more than 1/2 cup ghee,
  3. 1.5 to 2 cups walnuts or any other nuts of your choice.
  4. 1 can sweetened milk aprox 400 gms
  5. 2 Cups powdered full cream milk brand: nestle sunshine
  6. ghee 1/2 to 3/4 cup
  7. 1-2 green cardamoms
Method
  • Grease a plate with ghee.
  • Put ghee in saucepan and add green cardamoms in it. It should not be too hot or ghee will burn.
  • Add powdered milk. When milk turns brown and crumbly, add eggs.
  • Mix well and add whole tin of condensed milk.
  • When it becomes totally dry and starts sticking to the cooking spoon add walnuts and mix.
  • Take it out and set it in the greased dish/tray.
  • When cooled, cut into cubes.
  • Can put in fridge as well and it will stay good for a long time.

Walnut halwa is more energetic halwa, if i use desi ghee in the preparation of this halwa it will become more tasty. I prepare this halwa in every shab-e-baraat.
