Ingredients
  1. • Boiled rice ½ kg
  2. • Sugar 250 grams
  3. • Khoya 250 grams
  4. • Clarified butter 250 grams
  5. • Cardamom 6
  6. • Zafran ½ tsp
  7. • Kewra ½ tsp
  8. • Orange food color ½ tsp
  9. • Raisins 2 tbsp
  10. • Almonds/pistachios 2 tbsp
  11. • Coconut 2tbsp
  12. • Asharfiyan 2 tbsp
Method
  • 1. In a pan boil ½ kg rice and add ½ tsp orange food color and then sieve. Now in another pan heat 250 grams clarified butter and add 6 cardamoms. As the aroma arises from cardamoms add 250 grams sugar and ½ cup of water.
  • 2. When the syrup gets ready add 2 tbsp almonds and pistachios, ½ tsp zafran, 2 tbsp asharfiyan, 2 tbsp raisins, 2 tbsp coconut, 250 grams khoya and ½ tsp kewra in rice. Cover the pan and leave it for half an hour. Delicious special zarda is ready to serve.
