WikiLeaks Gone Malicious

(Yousaf Alamgirian, Rawalpindi)

It seems WikiLeaks is going to leak everything. Each of its cable is like leaking a drone as it hit many and cause collateral damage. WikiLeaks is an international non-profit media organization (as it is claimed by them) that publishes submissions of otherwise unavailable documents from anonymous sources and leaks. Its website, launched in 2006, is run by The Sunshine Press. Within a year of its launch, the site claimed a database that had grown to more than 1.2 million documents. The organization has described itself as having been founded by Chinese dissidents, as well as journalists, mathematicians, and start-up company technologists from the U.S., Taiwan, Europe, Australia, and South Africa. Newspaper articles and The New Yorker magazine (7 June 2010) describe Julian Assange, an Australian Internet activist, as its director.

Don’t know what good WikiLeaks is going to do for the humanity but it clearly depicts from its mood that WikiLeaks as not as truth worthy organization as it seemed to be. It has its designs and agenda to be fulfilled. Ironically the WikiLeaks release information at the moment when America plans to do some major move in Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan. Saudi Arabia is also in problem because of the leaks regarding King Abdullah. WikiLeaks has yet not leaked any of the dangerous secrets of USA. It seems WikiLeaks has been given the task to defame Muslim countries and its leaders.

Though it has released some of the secrets regarding USA and France but those are not going to affect their relations to other world as about America everyone knows it has its designs to rule the world through its ‘divide and rule’ policy. However the recently released will definitely harm the relations of the Muslim countries. As it narrates that King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has repeatedly urged the United States to attack Iran to destroy its nuclear program. According to leaked US diplomatic cables that describe how other Arab allies have secretly agitated for military action against Tehran. And the leaks in which Saudi King blames president of Pakistan as major hurdle in country’s development. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always enjoyed good relations then how can a person like King Abdullah can play such a loose ball regarding Pakistani leaders.

As for as King’s remakes regarding attack on Iran are considered these seem to be an effort to develop differences among the Muslim Ummah. It seems the powers behind the WikiLeaks want to isolate Iran before attacking on its nuclear plants. In fact America has not been able to achieve even a little bit of success in Afghanistan. And even by hanging Saddam and destroying Iraqi infrastructure it has not either earned a good name among Iraqi masses. People hate instead of involving themselves into a love affair with US. So in order to overcome its failure and announcing the date of exit from Afghanistan it want to show some sort of success by attacking Iran. Before proceeding for the adventure the WikiLeaks sort of cable releases can be helpful in order to defame certain states and the leaders.

If America after Iraq and Afghanistan attacks any other Islamic country the civil societies of the developed nations can realize that this war is really a crusade against Muslims (as bush termed it like that). So just to develop a public opinion WikiLeaks is released thousands of cables.

WikiLeaks definitely has nasty designs behind the same. It is a serious shift to harm certain community. Ironically WikiLeaks doesn’t have anything regarding India whose 8 lakh army is busy in genocide of Kashmiri masses. It has also very less to speak regarding Israel which is butchering Palestinians.

It is for sure that WikiLeaks cables are designed in way to harm Muslim world by creating differences among major Muslim powers like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan. It is not only trying to humiliate political leadership of Pakistan and Pakistan as state but is poised to create doubts regarding Pakistan army and chief of army staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani. WikiLeaks alleges that the “Pakistan army’s chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani’s opposition led to the conflict on the Kerry-Lugar Bill as it was going to result in greater civilian control on the military”. It also narrates that “He has learnt from the mistakes made by former military ruler Pervez Musharraf and is using the parliament and the government while staying in the background, the documents allege”. Such allegations have no doubt are poisonously rich to defame an organization which is fighting war on terror with valor, courage and determination. More than 2500 of its troops have given their lives. If it is compared with the NATO and allied forces successes they stand nowhere. Such leaks are just to undermine the efforts of army and it’s Chief.

Pakistani masses are very well aware of the thoughts and vision of General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and they have nothing to do with the propaganda of WikiLeaks. Pakistanis know the role being played by Gen Kayani in restoration of the judiciary and strengthening the democratic system of the country. Due to his policies masses once again have started loving army as they used to love it in past. Enemies of Pakistan were really perturbed on Pak army’s success in Swat operation and in the operation against the extremists in tribal area. They know that popularity graph of Gen Kayani is reasonably high in Pakistan. People can doubt everything but can’t doubt General Kayani’s patriotism, sincerity, nationalism and loyalty with its motherland. So Pakistani nations who is fighting and is a victim of bearing suicidal attacks has to fight on cyber front as well and specifically to tackle the so called WikiLeaks type of the leakers , leaking so frequently these days.
