CHEMICAL ATTACK:

(Warda Khan, Noshehra)

The Syrian Civil war is an ongoing multi-sided armed conflict in Syria .A peaceful uprising against the president of Syria seven year ago has turned into a full scale civil war .Even before the conflict began ,many Syrians were complaining about high unemployment, corruption and a lack of political freedom under President Bashar al –Asad, who succeeded his late father Hafez in 2000.Pro –democracy protests erupted in march 2011 in the Southern city of Deraa after the arrest and torture of some teenagers who painted revolutionary slogans on a school wall .After security forces opened fire on demonstrators ,killing several ,more took to the streets.

It is more than a battle between those for or against Mr Asaad many group and countries each with their own agendas are involved .The government’ s use of force to crush the dissent merely hardened the protesters resolve ,making the situation far more complex and prolonging the fighting. They have been accused of fostering hatred between Syria ’s religious groups ,pitching the Sunni Muslim majority against the president ’s Shia Alawite sector.

They have also allowed the jihadist groups Islamic state and al-Qaeda to flourish .Syria’s who want the rights of self government but have not fought Mr Asaad ’s forces , have added another dimension to the conflict. The government‘s key supporters are Russia and Iran, while the US ,Turkey and Saudi Arabia back the rebel.

Syria and Russia accused Israel on carrying out a deadly bombing raid on a Syrian military airport ,as calls grew for international action over an alleged chemical attack on a rebel held town .

Syrian state news agency Sana said Israeli F-15 aircraft had fired several missiles at the base from Lebanese territory. The Syrian observatory for human rights , which monitors the country ’s conflict said 14 fighters were killed , including Syrian army officers and Iranian forces.

Syrian has been accused multiple times of using toxic weapons including sarin gas in the country ’s seven year war ,which has killed more than 350,000 people .Pressure was mounting over the latest accusation that killed dozens of people on Saturday with a toxic gas attack on Douma , the rescuers said at least 48 people died after showing symptoms consistent with exposure to poisonous chlorine gas ,including foaming at the mouth and difficulty breathing.

Russia which already had military bases in Syria ,launched an air campaign in support of Mr Asaad in 2015 that has been crucial in turning the tide of the war in the government ’s favour .The Russian military say’s our target terrorists but they regularly killed mainstream rebels and civilians. Iran is believed to have deployed hundreds of troops and spent billions of dollars to help Mr Asaad

Meanwhile, more than 465,000 Syrians have been killed in the fighting, and missing over a million injured, and over 12 million - half the country's population - have been displaced from their homes. The figure did not include 56,900 people who were missing and presumed dead .The group also estimated 100,000 deaths had not been documented .It blamed a barrel bomb allegedly dropped by a helicopter which it is said contained Sarin , a toxic nerve agent Volunteer rescue force the White Helmets have showed many images of several bodies in basements and deaths were likely rise. The three stages of Syria’s war shootings ,shelling ,air strikes.

There were many cases of suffocation among civilians from residential areas after they were targeted by poison gas chlorine. There has been no independent verification of the reports.

The question arises here that why is it not stopping ?Who should we blame ? How we find the justice and where? Because there is no one to listen anyone’s problem everyone is busy in to earn their own power. There were many children’s whose future had destroyed .Our only hope has to be peace for Syria because nobody knows the fault of their innocents children and mothers .Mothers have been killed in front of their children.

First Afghanistan ,then Iraq and now its Syria .So who’ s next .Where will it all end ? If these illegal interventions are permitted to continue ,the implication seems to be ,pretty soon ,horror of horror ,no murderously repressive regimes might remain.

‘‘The last three thing a 3 –year old Syrian said before he died ,I’m gonna tell God everything’’ .
