The ‘Naya Pakistan” slogan is
something everybody has been hearing and it’s been a while Pakistan saw any
change until the removal of PM Nawaz Sharif. That day brought hope in the
country and in people’s heart. Our beloved former cricketer Imran Khan who has
now become a politician came up with the idea of Naya Pakistan and didn’t skip a
breathe until he accomplished his mission of removing corruption from the
politics. Imran Khan fought day and night, not for the power but for ‘insaf’ for
Pakistan.
In the beginning of his protest days, everyone supported him and the idea of
Naya Pakistan very patriotically and nothing changed for the longest time but he
did not give up. He didn’t back off even when his own people and his supporters
started to back off. He stood strong and fought every minute for the Naya
Pakistan. Until the day of elections people hadn’t hoped for Tehreek-e-Insaf to
win the elections, but all that struggle Imran Khan did was not for nothing, he
proved everybody wrong and won the elections and became the new Prime Minister
of Pakistan.
Now that day, a ray of hope came alive. Everybody chanted for Naya Pakistan and
Imran Khan. The idea of Naya Pakistan is so huge because Pakistan has seen
corruption since the starting, specially the youth of this country. There was
nothing progressive being done except for the roads and malls being built in
cities, that is not growth. Naya Pakistan seeks for education to poor people,
electricity in the country, no corruption, decrease the unemployment, and
resolve the water crisis. That is what Naya Pakistan is, not the unnecessary
malls and infrastructure. People have been so sick in all these years that
everybody wants to see change in the country. Speaking off, Karachi, in the past
10 years has seen nothing but corruption and unreasonable politics. No
government would look upon the situation in Karachi; even the roads are not
good. People of Karachi had nothing but to hope for the Naya Pakistan and Imran
Khan, who would at least focus on the biggest city of the country.
But that is not the question? The question now is, is there going to be a Naya
Pakistan? Since the day Imran Khan has been elected, people can’t stop talking
about how the Naya Pakistan will be like. There is much expected from Imran Khan
that people are now talking about all his moves, the paparazzi won’t even spare
him for a second. Up till now, Imran Khan has shown progress by promising to
make the PM house an educational institute and by removing all the protocol for
the PM to raise funds for the county. After all these yearsif someone is
thinking about the goodwill of Pakistan, it’s Imran Khan. This is the only
reason people love him and will always support him.
Living in Karachi, to me I can just hope for the betterment of the city by our
new beloved leader who at least brought a little democracy in the country where
no one would ever think about it. It’s okay to have flaws and being miss-lead,
but I think this man will do more than we are expecting from him. We shall see
the day where everyone can say that it’s finally a Naya Pakistan we live in.
