Pakistan Test Series Win After 2006

After 3 years, Pakistan manages
to win the test series against New Zealand after 2006/07 season. Last time
Pakistan registered their outside subcontinent triumph in the season of 2003/04
against the same opposition New Zealand.
In the starting of the series, both team as standing at the bottom of the Test
ranking and Pakistan was look weak competitor in bowling department with
inexperience attack. But Adur Rehman’s allround performance made it easy at the
end in 1st test match and get man of the match award. In 2nd Test Pakistan look
strong to wrap up the series with 2-0 at the 5th day. But Younis Khan’s
dismissal just before the tea compelled Misbah ul Haq to go for draw and
Pakistan accomplish 1-0 series win.
Misbah ul Haq proved himself again the Mr. consistent for Pakistan as last
series against South Africa. He batted in three innings and made three 50+ score
and remain the top run scorer of the series. Umar Gul stands as the highest
wicket taker of the series with 13 scalps. The other headliner of series from
Pakistan was Younis Khan, he made valuable contribution in batting and fielding
departments.
This series win could be the new starting point for Pakistan test team. It
doesn’t matter that they win the series against the weaker opposition, the trail
of this win could be, how they continue their march towards glory with small
