There is a film being played in
every individual’s mind. The film has a hero, a heroine and tragedies of life as
well. The hero/heroin is the person himself, heroin is the person he loves and
tragedies are his failures and accomplishments.
In simple words, every person is the hero/heroin of the movie in his mind. It
has no duration and no time limit rather it keeps on playing. Even though our
lives would be better and easier as compared to others living in slums, but
still we think our life is a tragedy. In fact we try to associate “tragedy” with
our life because that makes it more interesting or at least filmy. Somebody
slaps us and we almost tend to think he attempted to kill us when we were
bare-handed.
We love someone and get ourselves heart-broken from him/her and think I was
betrayed. We ultimately get a villain through that betrayal with whom we can
take our revenge.
We lose and start our journey to accomplish; that is how the film in our mind
starts, becomes interesting, reaches climax and end up in our achievement….
Well…..may be it doesn’t even end there..
In fact we have a series of film running in our mind, each begins with a problem
to resolve. It may be settling in a career, finding a soul mate or taking
revenge from somebody who broke your heart.
What I am trying to say is that we have become “filmy”, thanks to the movies
from bollywood and Hollywood. We have started expecting more from the nature,
the environment and people rather than giving our own input and playing our due
role in a real life-setting. When we don’t get what we expect, we have learnt
escapism, “the drugs, the alcohol and desocialization” and we still are the
hero/heroin of our film. In fact, we would die but before taking our last
breathe; we would still remain the central character of our film, the film that
is titled as “My life”.
