Its time to wake up

(Rabia Hashim, Karachi)

Allah helps those who help themselves. This is what we as a Muslim nation believes. But since when we have forgotten this belief, we have been brutally treated all around the globe. The Pakistanis who went for jobs in Middle Eastern countries are now coming back because of this bloody revolution going on. But has anybody thought about those Pakistanis that are still stuck there and are badly treated by the extremists. This is happening is Bahrain right now. The extremists are killing innocent Pakistanis without any reasons.

The reason I used this phrase in the beginning of my article is that, we never fought for a noble cause. Above all our government has always been failed to get their people back from different agencies and countries throughout the world. The biggest example is Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and other missing persons. But here I am not going to talk about the responsibility of our government as it is already accepted by our society. We, as a nation can do lot more for our people. IA revolution has replaced the monarchy and monopoly of the Middle Eastern governments. Why not a peaceful and thoughtful revolution can solve our problems too? I am not talking about a bloody revolution, but raising voice against evil deeds and injustice can be done in other manners as well. You can make social groups, you can do peaceful protests, you can write on these topics and many other means to send your messages to the concerned authorities. Remain quiet is not the answer to all these problems. I have a complaint against our society; we only pay attention to those problems that are directly related to us. We do not care about thousands of people are stuck in these war zones and are treated by all these in human extremists very badly.

My only request to all Pakistanis is that please wake up before some of our family member faces the same problem because in near future, we can be the next target of these super powers.
