On Sunday 15th September, the International Democracy Day was
observed across the world with UN's theme of the year "Participation", to
strengthen objective of promoting & consolidation of democracy, UN has been
engaged in growing & protecting democratic values & practices. Fundamental
rights is the essential element of democracy which are embodied in Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, constitution of Pakistan allows every citizen
freedom of speech, freedom of association, freedom of movement, freedom of
peaceful protest but on the international day of democracy at Karachi Press Club
it was openly violated, Sindh Police brutally tortured peaceful IBA Headteachers
regardless of women & children, going on for hours but Sindh Gov't did not
action to stop untill it was widely condemned by opposition & civil society.
Sadly the spokesperson for CM Sindh Mr Mortaza Wahab stubbornly justified this
brutality on peaceful citizen, further argued that why they tried to enter into
so called red zone, The Question is that while they were remained in waiting for
any representative of Sindh Govt for whole day under scorchin Sun but no one
came to see them from Sindh Gov't side, after long wait what option left with
them? In throughout the World teachers are most honoured but the Sindh under
PPPP regime is only region where teachers are wellcomed with water cannon, tear
gas & baton charge to suppress their voices, several critical injured, dozens
detained by Police. The Question is that while they were remained in waiting for
any representative of Sindh Govt for whole day under scorchin Sun but no one
came to see them from Sindh Gov't side, after long wait what option left with
them? In throughout the World teachers are most honoured but the Sindh under
PPPP regime is only region where teachers are wellcomed with water cannon, tear
gas & baton charge to suppress their voices. At several occasions Minister &
Secretary education Sindh admired their work, Even Sindh education department
was provided with genuine & authentic data after school profiling, according to
Secretary education there was fake & forged data available in secretriat before
school profiling done by IBA HMs. Now it is easy to make & implement policies in
education department on genuine data basis but mafias are extremely unhappy with
IBA HMs & feel them threat in future, due to unknown reasons Sindh Gov't issued
one year advance removal from service notification of IBA Headteachers who were
previously being given assurance of regularization by the authorities. Now they
are protesting against being victimized by Gov't & demanding for their
regularization. Sindh Gov't opinion that Grade 17 post can be appointed only by
SPSC test & IBA HMs are appointed through IBA testing service so they can't be
regularized asper law but irony is that in recent two years Sindh Gov't have
appointed hundreds & hundreds of grade 17, grade 18 officials in Health, IT, Law
& live stock department directly without any screening test or interview & after
a short span of time regularized by passing assembly bill, if an employee of
grade 17 or above can't be recruited without SPSC then how Veterinary Doctors
were recruited, Doctors & IT officers of grade 17 without any screening test,
intrestingly Attorneys of grade 18 were recruited without SPSC but
discriminatory law for IBA Headteachers who were recruited through a rigorous
process of screening test. This is clear & crystal nepotism of Sindh Gov't & an
open violation of Article 27 of Pakistan's Constitution & UDHR as well which
prevent discriminatory treatment & inequility. The obstinate & discriminate
ruling of Sindh Gov't have originated threat of wide increase in disabilities of
children in Sindh, the families of IBA Headteachers are under stress of being
unemployment as majority joined after leaving their previous job, their children
living under stressful environment which result of their mental disability in
future. Murdering merit is the tradition of PPPP's Sindh Gov't, this is the
message for all that there is no regard for merit in feudal democratic Sindh
province of Pakistan, on current way of ruling anyone can predict that in
attaining goals of sustainability by 2030 the Sindh will be on top from bottom
side (Last).
