CAREER PLANNING

Basically, the career planning is game of mindset. Unfortunately, there is no career planning centers in Pakistan. There is no proper forum is available for our young generation to takes guide from themselves. However, the aptitude test is essential while going into any field. There are some real cases which we have been seems in our daily life where parents are imposing their will upon children to adopt study who they have liked most. These things are directly affecting our future generation. The lack of skills and lack of interest is the key factor for failure of students in different fields. No consultation from school teachers while adopting any field. The interest of the students should observe while guiding to him/her. On the other hands, in Pakistan cultures while students who have done their secondary level then parents are worried to give him right direction. But they have forgotten one thing that now there is no time to study or plan to do that.

Conversely, the modern societies are developing the growth of the children from beginning. They have been thoroughly monitoring children activities during childhood. Their elementary schools are more polished their skills which they have interest to work. They have not imposed any condition to adopt particular profession. That why the modern states are successful in different profession. On the other hand, our societies are rigid and adhering old norms and traditions. Approximately, 98% government schools in Islamabad are teaching science subjects in secondary level. There are few schools are offering arts subject to teach. This mind set of government institutions should change. They should conduct aptitude test before entry into 9th class or matriculation. The school administration has imposed science subject to all students. It is unfair especially, to those who have less capacity to understand science subjects. It is dilemma in our societies.

Those who have studies in government schools are facing difficulties to compete the private students. On the other hands, there is no proper planning to provide jobs opportunities to young people. Moreover, the different aptitudes centers are taking huge amounts from parents to conduct test. In this regard, government should realize to help students to divert his mindset who have interest or enough skills. However, it is time consuming process. But it is essential to adopt strict police to produce good students as well as teachers, engineers, scientists etc. The venom is spreading in name of aptitude test of students in the later age why? In Pakistan there is no mechanism to follow in the school/college or university level to check the ability of the students. That why we are failing in our respective profession too.
