How Can We Stay Healthy and Fit in Pandemic
Corona virus pandemic spread rapidly throughout the world. No one knew that it could make a huge impact on our daily life routines. Being isolated at home can create a mental and physical illness as we know it. Eating junk food is becoming habits for all of us. So what should we do to keep ourselves healthy and fit during this pandemic? Here are few tips in my opinion would be best to follow:
Staying Active:
Physical activity is not only important during isolation it is important during normal routines too. The gyms may be close in some areas but there is a lot of safe alternates you can count on like aerobics can be done easily at home. Avoid the crowd but don’t avoid nature you can go for a brisk walk or jog at the park before breakfast. Pushups, sit up, yoga many more exercises we can do at home to stay active.
Healthy Diet:
Healthy diet and nutrition are very essential for us, during this lockdown lot of emotional eating due to stress can create lot of problem for our health, for example, eating junk food can maximize your cholesterol and it could be a negative impact on your heart and body .keeping a healthy diet can boost our immune system which can be beneficial to fight against the virus. Keep drinking water and juices to keep you hydrated. CDC has suggested us to take foods like dark leafy greens, beans, millet, oats, wheat brown, rice oranges, and tomatoes filled with vitamins.
Ample Amount of Sleep:
Sleeping is another and very important part of healthy life. We all got bogged down due to stress in this pervasive virus. But how can we react to it? Adequate sleep is the answer to this. Not only this will help to reduce our stress but it also supports our natural defense system which will lessen the risk of infection and could be proven handy to fight the virus.
Stay In touch:
Anxiety and depression can be life-threatening especially during the pandemic. I would suggest or what I feel that in these challenging times of isolation we should be in touch with our loved ones, our friends and families make this time to re-connect with them with the use of technology and apps like zoom and Skype which allow us virtually call and have long and good conservations which will help to minimize the risk of these mental illness.
Entertain yourself:
Keeping yourself occupied and engaged in quarantine period is crucial. Listen to your favorite music, watch movies on Netflix subscribe to YouTube to watch tutorials of videos of your interest which can be advantageous to mastering another expertise. I have come up with a lot of fun things we can do in this lockdown.
Pandemic is not here forever but we should take care of ourselves don’t let it take over us. What I wrote above is the guidance to improve our health and wellness. Kindly note that taking a good diet daily exercising, relaxing, and resting is the way to make us more resilient in this Covid-19 Pandemic.
