The heart is the important organ of the body. It is a musclar organ lying in the thoracic cavity. It is cone shaped. It is made up of cardiac muscles. The heart is enveloped in a double layered pericardium which is filled by a pericardial fluid to reduce the friction.

The heart has four chambers , Two upper thin walled chambers the artia or auricle and two lower think walled ventricles.

There is a central wall in the heart called the septum which divides the heart into a right an left half, the two halves have no connection with each other.

The right atrium opens into the right ventricle byu an aperture guarded by a tricuspid valve. The left atrium opens into the left ventricle by an aperture with a bicuspid or mitral valve. These cusps have fibers chordae tendineae to attach with the papillary muscles of the ventricles and prevent the backward flow of blood.

THE HEART DISEASE:
The human heart has a mass of between Obesity, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol can increase the risk of developing heart disease. However, half the number of heart attacks occur in people with normal cholesterol levels. Heart disease is a major cause of death. 250 and 350 grams and is about the size of a fist.
