Impact of mobile phone on kids

(Aniqa Jawaid, Karachi)

These days, cell phone usage has become so common that every person owns one. It was unbelievable to anyone in this generation that someone did not own a mobile phone, since even children now own one. However, do you believe that giving children cell phones is appropriate for them?

No, I don't think it's good, but if we talk about today's parents, they give their kids cell phones just because they're crying and we want to distract them or get some work done. If they give their kids a cell phone, they stop crying, which allows them to work comfortably afterwards. However, did the parents act appropriately toward their own children? NO, I do not believe that it is beneficial for kids because it affects kids'

vision and has a lot of negative side effects for kids. For example, parents are unaware of what their kids are seeing since, as we all know, when we open an app, advertisements may appear. Occasionally, these advertisements may be inappropriate for young children. We adults often underestimate the

psychological impact of these activities have on kids.

However, parents in today's generation believe that if they give their kids a cell phone, they will watch cartoons, even if many of the things in cartoons are inappropriate, and when the kids do those things, the parents will be held responsible. Parents make their kids addicted to mobile phone when kids become addicted so then they think it's not right for them

First of all, we must recognize that the children's mistake in getting a cell phone was caused by their parents, not by the children themselves. Moreover, we do not use cell phones for personal needs, rather, we use them constantly, sometimes without any content to watch, because we believe that we cannot survive without them. Adults should also realize that mobile devices are utilized for more than just entertainment and passing the time; they are also a source of knowledge.
