The Agony of What ifs

(Samra Waheed, Wah Cantt)

There will come a time in your life when you'll have everything you've ever desired, but in the pursuit of those desires, you'll have forgotten the blessings that Allah had bestowed upon you. You'll have lost the very things that brought you joy and peace.

You'll weep and lament, longing for the days when you could have made amends. But by then, it will be too late, and all you'll be left with is regret.

The things you coveted and spent your life chasing will seem worthless to you then. You'll yearn for the moments you squandered, wishing you could turn back time.

What will happen then is what Allah has ordained. Your deeds, good and bad, will be weighed on the scales of justice. Your wrongdoings and injustices will tip the scales against you, and you'll feel the weight of your sins crushing you.

You'll loathe yourself, and your own hands, once so full of wealth and power, will now be empty and frail. You'll be helpless, and your mistakes will haunt you.

On your deathbed, all you'll have is pain and suffering. You'll beg for forgiveness, pleading with Allah to pardon you. You'll forgive those who wronged you, seeking forgiveness for yourself.

But it's not too late yet. Save yourself from the fire that's burning within. The flames of hell are many times hotter than the fires of this world.

Repent now, and turn away from the deeds that bring harm to others. The greatest sorrow is to hurt someone's heart, and Allah is displeased with those who cause pain to others.

Examine your heart, and reflect on your actions. Make amends, and seek forgiveness. Do good deeds, so that when you stand before Allah, you'll be accepted.

If you succeed in pleasing Allah, you'll have succeeded in life. Your existence will have been worthwhile, and you'll have been forgiven.

So, reform your life, and make it worthy of Allah's acceptance.
