A handful of terrorist groups and their facilitators have long tried to destabilize Balochistan by spreading violence and chaos. Their recent attacks—particularly targeting unarmed civilians, women, and children—are a flagrant violation of both international humanitarian and war laws. These savage elements have demonstrated not only their enmity toward Balochistan and its people but toward humanity at large.
The Holy Qur’an (Surah Al-Ma’idah, Verse 33) strongly condemns those who spread disorder on earth, declaring them enemies of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH). Such miscreants deserve punishment both in this world and the Hereafter. Thankfully, all the terrorists involved in recent attacks have been neutralized in effective counterterrorism operations by Pakistan’s security forces.
As Muslims, we are guided by divine principles that encourage compassion and justice. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “People are Allah’s family, and the most beloved to Allah is the one who is kind to His creation” (Mishkat). Furthermore, the Quran declares that saving one life is akin to saving all humanity—and taking one innocent life equals killing all humanity.
It must be remembered that terrorists follow no religion; they are simply terrorists. Today, it is imperative for the proud Baloch nation to rise above fear and divisions, and unite in the fight against terrorism. National unity and support for the state and its institutions are essential to defeat both internal and external threats.
Youth have a pivotal role to play in this battle. The success or failure of any nation largely depends on the active participation of its younger generation. From political revolutions to socio-economic movements, youth are at the forefront. Unfortunately, these terrorist groups have deliberately targeted educated youth—a topic I have explored in detail in a previous article.
It is critical that today’s youth focus on education, as the pen is mightier than the sword. A nation’s progress is deeply connected to its literacy rate. Educated societies foster stability and awareness. Therefore, students must organize seminars at colleges and universities to raise awareness about the dangers of terrorism. They should avoid engaging with unknown individuals on social media and remain vigilant of suspicious activities in their surroundings—reporting anything unusual to law enforcement agencies.
The resilient people of Balochistan must remain hopeful and courageous. These few terrorists and their sponsors will soon meet their fate. The state has now resolved to eradicate terrorism completely. Those who hide behind women and children to commit crimes will no longer be shown any leniency.
These elements have misled the Baloch community by using slogans like "missing persons" to spread anti-state propaganda. They have taken books from students’ hands and replaced them with weapons. However, every nation, institution, and individual faces trials—challenges are temporary and should not lead to despair.
We must prove, with unity and determination, that we are a strong and resilient nation capable of overcoming all crises. The state has decided not to negotiate with enemies of the country anymore. The time to eliminate terrorism is now.
Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has repeatedly asserted that terrorists will never again be allowed to establish a foothold on Pakistani soil. Indeed, the Pakistan Army has bravely thwarted terrorist plots on numerous occasions. The nation must now rally behind its armed forces with the same spirit shown during the 1965 war, when Pakistani forces, supported by an unwavering nation, defended the country against a much larger enemy.
Thanks to the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers—especially those from the Frontier Corps (South) and other law enforcement agencies—Pakistan is winning the war against terrorism. Balochistan is now steadily moving toward peace and prosperity. The people of Balochistan have rejected these terrorist groups and their ideology, recognizing them as self-serving elements who manipulate them for their own agenda.
Balochistan has always loved Pakistan and will continue to do so. These few terrorists cannot extinguish that love. In conclusion, we pay heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army and security forces, particularly FC Balochistan (South), who laid down their lives so our tomorrow could be secure. |
