(Dr Syed Mehboob, Karachi)

Noor e Haram, a 12-year-old grade seven student and a visionary girl, has chosen a different track for herself. She is a highly patriotic girl who loves and admires Pakistan very much. She has dedicated herself to promoting Pakistan’s positive image here and abroad. She is a fan of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. She also likes and admires Turkiye. She has a desire to specialize in Turkiye, highlighting its achievements, and advancement in science and technology. She wants to learn the Turkish language and to understand Turkish culture. She made a beautiful and important speech on the arrival of Recep Tayyip Erdogan. She got further knowledge on Turkiye and wanted to share it with the Consul General of our brother country, Turkiye. Thursday, 7th August 2025 was a historical and memorable day for Noor e Haram when she was invited by His Excellency Dr. Cemal Sangu, Consul General of Türkiye at the Turkish Consulate, Karachi. Mr. Jawed Malik and Dr. Syed Mehboob were also with her.
It was a very exciting moment for Noor e Haram, and she was very happy. Her happiness knew no boundaries when His Excellency gave a very warm welcome to her. She was very extremely happy to meet with His Excellency and was very impressed by the pleasant and kind personality of Mr. Cemal Sangu. She shared her knowledge about Turkiye with His Excellency and gave a speech on this occasion. Following is the excerpt of her speech:

His Excellency Cemal Sangu
Ladies and Gentlemen, Assalam o Alaikum and Good Morning
Brother country “ Turkiye” is in our heart, in our mind, our hearts beat with it, we all Pakistanis love Turkiye, admire it, trust it because in all difficult times, harsh moments we saw Turkiye was standing with us, Pakistanis who visited Turkiye they never felt them strangers, foreigners themselves in Turkiye, they were quite comfortable as they enjoyed great hospitality, love and cooperation from their Turkish brothers and sisters. When they came back to Pakistan, they felt that they had left their hearts in Turkiye.
Ladies and Gentlemen! Pakistan-Turkey friendship is deeper than oceans, stronger than iron, greater than K2, and sweeter than honey. This friendship is historical, time-tested, and all-weather. Turkiye is our friend in need and friend indeed. We are proud of this friendship. Both countries are active members of the OIC, UNO, and ECO. Both countries are strategic partners and are on the same page on many regional and international issues. Turkish support for the Kashmir cause gave enormous strength to the notion of Pakistan on the issue. Pakistan and Turkey’s relations are historical, and their foundation was laid much before the independence of Pakistan, when Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar and Maulana Shaukat Ali led the Khilafat movement. Muslims extended their moral, political, and financial support to their Turkish brethren.
Now I would like to share some information about Turkiye.
Turkey is a transcontinental country located mainly in western Asia, with a smaller portion on the South East Europe on the Balkan Peninsula. Turkey is bordered by Greece and Bulgaria to its northwest, Georgia to the northeast, Armenia, Azerbaijan exclave of Nakhichevan, and Iran to the east, Iraq and Syria to the South. Istanbul is the largest city, and Ankara is the capital.

Turkey has the world’s 12th largest economy by GDP (PPP) and 16th largest by nominal GDP. Turkey is among the world’s developed countries and is one of the newly industrialized countries. The country is among the world’s leading producers of agricultural products, textiles, motor vehicles, transportation equipment, construction materials, consumer electronics, and home appliances.

There are 90 airports, including 22 international airports, in Turkiye. Istanbul Atatürk is the 11th busiest airport in the world, serving 31.83 million passengers. Tourism is one of the most dynamic and fastest-developing sectors in Turkey. According to travel agencies TUI AG and Thomas Cook, 11 out of the 100 best hotels are located in Turkey. Several Turkish companies are operating successfully in Pakistan, like Bayinder, Enka, Takers, Dawlance, Ulter, Bebek, Fashion, Halbayrak, Arcelik, etc.
Since Pakistan’s 60% Population consists on youth therefore I would like to share this information and much more with our youth. Thank You very much His Excellency Cemal Sangu and Dr. Mehboob for their kind support and appreciation.
