Teachers’ Behavior towards Students’ Capacity Building Muhammad Iftikhar and Rabia Murtaza Email: [email protected]
Teachers have a very important role in the lives of students. Their behaviour, attitude, and way of teaching can greatly affect students’ learning and personal growth. At the university level, students need not only knowledge but also confidence, motivation, and guidance to improve their abilities. Positive teacher behaviour helps students become more active, confident, and responsible in their studies and daily life. When teachers behave politely and respectfully with students, students feel comfortable in the classroom. They become more interested in participating in discussions and asking questions without hesitation. Encouragement from teachers also increases students’ confidence and helps them improve their communication and problem-solving skills. Friendly and supportive behaviour creates a healthy learning environment where students can express their ideas freely. Teachers also help students in community engagement. They encourage participation in group activities, seminars, social programs, and teamwork. Through these activities, students learn leadership, cooperation, and social responsibility. Such experiences prepare students to serve society positively and become useful members of the community. A motivated student can contribute better not only in academics but also in social development. In conclusion, teachers’ behaviour has a strong impact on students’ capacity building. Positive guidance, motivation, and respectful interaction help students improve both academically and personally. A supportive teacher can inspire students to achieve their goals and face future challenges with confidence. Therefore, teachers should always create a positive and encouraging environment for students’ success and development.
