Prof.Dr.Muhammad Riaz Shahid is famous critic ,researcher and creative
writer of Urdu ,Punjabi and English language. His research work on
linguistics is appreciated all over the world. His recent book on
children poetry is a mile stone towards the progress of children
literature. As a devoted and committed creative writer he has done a
wonderful job. His poems are very interesting and reflect history
,culture and civilization of Punjab.Like Sufi Ghulam Mustafa Tabassum
the poet has selected very interesting and easy discourse for his
poems. Many characters are very familiar to children. Poet has versified
some folk stories, lories and folk songs very effectively .Poet is of the
opinion that all the creative writers should write for the children as
well. The children of today are real inheritors of our social ,cultural
and historical heritage. This book is being translated in Urdu and
English as well. I am sure that relevant authorities will acknowledge the
great work of this trend setter creative writer and teacher.
Prof.Dr.Muhammad Riaz Shahid is senior writer of Pakistani languages .He
has full command over major languages of the world particularly he can
speak and write in English, Hindi, Arabic, Persian, Pushto ,Sidhiand
German. I appreciate his great work.
In third world countries children are often ignored.In villages people
are living in miserable conditions. Cruel and corrupt mafia has ruined
the life of poor ,helpless and oppressed people of rural areas.Asoo
Billa and Shabahat Shimer type criminals have destroyed the glorious
values and traditions of life .This book is a ray of hope for not only
children but also for all the inhabitants of rural areas .They can see
their life in actual context. Poet has versified the irreconcilably
situations and contradictory circumstances faced by children. As a
sensitive and sincere creative writer he has tried to bring positive
awareness about life among the people of our community. This is iteration
of realities .Inflecities of children are very harmful for society .Poet
dislikes deviations and disfiguration of realities of life. This poetry
about children is really very useful and thought provoking.In modern
conflicting situation this kind of creative work is widely appreciated
.The preeminent facts and realities of life are intertwined in this
poems. The strands of these attractive poems are very broad .Children of
