I thought that I must see the real; situation about this.
So I found these interesting facts.
TEST MATCHES.
Misbah Ul Haq played 34 test for Pakistan in which he played with 46 players.

In his 58 innings he scored 2173 runs which are only second to Younis khan's
2470.
He came unbeaten 10 times to Younis 6 not out’s.
If we see averages he has 45.27 he is only third in players scoring 1000 runs in
these matches.
He occupied the crease more than any other player. He faced 5367 balls. Younis
is second with 4528 balls.
His strike rate is fourth in players scoring 1000 runs.
He scored 3 hundreds second to Younis 9 centuries. But he scored 16 half
centuries to Azhar Ali 11 and Younis Khan 9 half centuries.
He got 4 ducks in these innings same 4 ducks as Younis and 6 of Taufeeq Umer in
lesser innings.
He hit 235 boundaries only second to Younis khan 260. The third on the list is
Taufeeq Umer with 143 hits to the boundaries.
He also able to throw the ball in stands 24 times again second to Younis 25
sixes. On third are Kamran Akmal and Umer Gul with 10 sixes.

He came unbeaten 20 times to Saeed Ajmal 11 not out’s .Shahid Afridi AND Umer
Gul CAME NOT OUT 10 TIMES.
If we see averages he has 42.31 he is only FOURTH in players scoring 1000 runs
in these matches.
He occupied the crease more than any other player he faced 3545 balls. Younis is
second with 3414 balls.
His strike rate is Eighth in players scoring 1000 runs .His strike rate is 75.20
which is better than the career strike rate of Kallis ,Dravid Yousaf and
Chanderpaul who are modren day hereos.
He scored no hundreds but only ten players scored centuries. He scored 18 half
centuries second to younis khan 23half centuries.
He got 3 ducks in these innings Younis, Salman and Wahab Riaz got 6 ducks in
lesser innings.
He hit 179 boundaries only second to Younis khan 246. The third on the list is

If we see averages he has 37.52 second is Imran Nazir with 29.50 and third is
Salman Butt with 29.00 .
He occupied the crease more than any other player. He faced 715 balls. Second is
Salman Butt with 509 and third is Shoaib Malik with 492 balls.
His strike rate is 110.20 fourth in players scoring 500 runs.
He scored 3 half centuries as did Salman Butt and Shahid Afridi to Kamran Akmal
4 half centuries.
He got 2 ducks in these innings .Kamran Akmal 4 and Afridi Umer Gul and Umer
Akmal have 3 ducks.
He hit 45 boundaries same as Afridi. Salman Butt 59 and Shoaib Malik 47 hits to
the boundaries are only ahead.

He played 15 matches scored 1165 runs fourth highest as Pakistan captain at an
average of 64.72 which is highest second is Hanif Mohammad 58.73.
He played 19 ODI’S as captain scored 547 runs he is seventh in terms of strike
rate in Pakistan captains scoring 500 runs.
He played 8 matches as captain and faced 185 balls scoring 175 runs.with an
average of 43.75 highest for Pakistan captain n t20I and second in world for
captains with at least 5 innings as captain.
He won 9 Test’s out of 15 and only one
He won 14 ODI’s out of 19
He won 6 t20’s out of 8
Interesting to note that as captain he never got a duck in any format of game.
After all this I got an idea that he is the one of the best players Pakistan
have found.
But he has really batted slowly in some matches .maybe some other players have
played same manner in those conditions.
