Dream Or Reality?

(Ahsan Ali, Lahore)

A few days back I saw a dream. I was in a place like museum. This museum was quite different from the real museum. Apart from the historical things and showing cultures, there was very different situation. On the left corner of that room there were samples of food edibles. There were samples of pulses, wheat flour. Next to it there was a liquid in the bottle. First I realized that it was some kind of cold drink, but when by smelling it I felt that it was petrol. On the right corner of the room a hammer was placed, when I watched carefully I came to know that it was judiciary hammer. While standing there and realizing the situation that where I am I suddenly woke up. Than I realized that ie was a dream.

Now if we a put a glance on the dream we’ll see that it is representing the same difficulties as happening in our country. There is economic crisis as well as political un- stability in our country .there is a shortage of food utensils. Even the basic food necessities are unavailable. The inflation touched about 23.34% in December 2008. The energy crisis has created a lot of problem. Production units are partially working. Different industries are in recession. These problems are getting worse day by day. This economic un-stability is creating a famine kind of situation in the country.

On the other hand there is strong political stability in the country. The new government who claimed to stabilize the economic condition has become un-stable in itself. The deposed judges issue is at the same end like it was. There is thirst of power among every politician. They are fighting among themselves to get the power but not for sake of country. it feels that there is a numb situation in our country.

By putting a glance on the current scenario it seems that the dream I saw and present situation in our country is almost same. The new government of Pakistan people party (PPP) who promised before electing that they will bring down inflation, bring economic stability as well as restore the judges hasn’t proved much effective. The need of time is that government should fulfill its promise otherwise there is possibility that the dream might change into reality in future.
