Love for humanity is the identity of being human

(Abdul Rehman Meer, Islamabad)

We live in a world here creatures of Allah live in. Allah has given the human beings with tremendous qualities and senses to feel and understand but most of the human being are totally unaware of the qualities given by their Creator and still live in a barbaric and brutal world. Such human beings cause disgrace to the human societies who do not acre the creatures of Allah. Once i was traveling on Murree Road in Rawalpindi; suddenly i saw a motor cyclist in a very critical condition on the road side as he had gone through an accident. I just approached him by making way among the crowd. There were almost some fifty people. I just checked the pulses of the young injured man who was unconscious; he was still taking breath and asked other people to take him to hospital as i was also on bike. They said; we can not take him to hospital as this a police case and we have already talked to the police. I got angry and said; what are you saying? You will wait for the police to come? The man may die before the police die. If you can not help me, i will take him to the hospital, i think this our case first. Meanwhile the injured man just raised his right hand and touched my hand and cried loudly then passed away. I shed tears on his death as there were number of senseless people who did not take him to hospital. A man said; dear we will take the death body to the hospital or to his home. I said; i can not go with this death body nor with you. If we had taken him alive to his family then they would pray us but in this way we would obviously get curse instead of prayers. From that day i had promised myself that i would not let anybody die in such merciless ways.

On a second occasion I was coming back from market after visiting my sister. On my way back home i was lost in a deep thought. There was a very complicated dilemma in my mind that i could not resist on an even and single issue. I was walking on the footpath as i thought of the exhausting routine work of the work place which had made me stressed. I walked on the roadside taking long long and fresh breath. Suddenly i saw a woman and a young boy on the road with bleeding faces. They had just gone through a sever bike accident. I just jumped into the road and supported the boy to stand but he asked me to support his sister first. The woman's gown was rolled in the back tire/tyre. Her gown was bitterly rolled into the tyre; i tried to pull it out but went fail. At last a passerby also came to her with a sharp knife. Ultimately, that part of the gown was cut to rescue the woman. I asked the boy to get into a taxi with her injured sister. I also accompanied them to the hospital. The doctors gave them a rapid treatment; the boy's face got cleared from the blood stains. I felt that i had seen him somewhere. I got plunged into the past to recognize him. A name sharply touched my memory ''Zeeshan''. I asked the young boy; are you Zeeshan? He said; yes but how do you know me? I said; did you study your matriculation at Buckingham School System? He replied: yes. I said; dear i am your teacher Abdul Rehman Mir who used to teach you during 2008 when you were in 9th. He smiled and shed tears. I also could not control my tears when i felt the nostalgia; how smart and handsome boy was he at that time but now after this brutal bike accident that occurred due to his sister's gown had changed his face into an unrecognizable boy. I spent two hours with them and left the hospital when their parents arrived there as i had informed them. They thanked me for my help but i said; i am feeling proud that i helped my student even when he was in danger. Love you dear students but please drive carefully.
