You are a Legend

An Australian told me "You are
a Legend"
(Muhammed Waseem Alam , Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)
I live in Australia and have lived in Melbourne for about 14 years now I have
moved to Sydney. One day I was walking on a street to go to the main CBD
(Central Business District). I saw a white Australian walking with his motorbike
in the same direction as I was walking.
I got closer to this middle aged man and initiated the conversation by say Hi,
he replied and said Hi too, I then I asked him as to why was he not riding on
his bike and what was wrong with his motorbike. He said that there was some
major problem with his motorbike and that he had been walking from very far and
now looking for a mechanic.
I took a general look of the motorbike and determined that wheel chain was not
on and it was hanging and dangling out of the wheel.
I offered the Australian to fix his motorbike but, he laughed at me and made fun
of me saying I could not fix the problem and that it was a complicated matter
and was out of my understanding.
I got upset at the way he made fun of me but I was positive that I could solve
his problem in no time.
I, one more time offered my service to him to fix his bike.
On my persistence he said ok, "you can try to fix the bike".
I simply put the motorbike on its stand and moved the back wheel in reverse
order and slowly put the chain back on its place. The chain was quickly on its
original place I, then moved the back wheel in both ways and made that sure that
the chain was not going to go off again.
The Australian checked his motorbike and was extremely happy to see that he
could ride his bike again. Now he was ashamed, and I could see his gratitude for
me from his face, it was evident from his body language that he was feeling
sorry for his previous remarks of making fun of me.
He told me that he was tired of walking with his heavy motorbike from a far
distance. He then praised me so much so that he told me that
"You are a Legend".
