After a terrible defeat from neighbours India in 4th June match at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Pakistan team will ready to play against South Africa. Pakistan team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed and Couch Mickey Arthur was under pressure. Because in previous match Against India bowlers cannot delivered the things right. There is a bit change in Pakistani bowling lineup. Wahab Riaz got injured in previous match against India he don't even play the full match against them and ruled out of Champions Trophy. Rumman Raees replace the injured Wahab Riaz in Champion Trophy. He tweet yesterday and says "My performance has let down my nation n team, I’m sorry especially to PCT fans. I tried my best but it was not good enough n I'm heartbroken as well'.
The match between the Pakistan and South Africa is in same ground. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistani Bowling lineup includes three fast Bowlers Muhammad Amir, Junaid Khan and young Hasan Ali. In spin department Muhammad Hafeez which cannot bowl a single over in previous match against India. Imad Wasim and young Shadab Khan are also includes. Both of the bowlers are not impressive in the last match.
The Batting lineup of South Africa is very strong it includes some of the top ODI batsman like Hashim Amla, Quinton De Kock and Captain himself AB de Villiers which is the number one ODI batsman in the ICC ranking at the moment. The team also includes some big power hitters like Faf du Plessis and David Miller. It is not an easy task for Pakistani bowlers to overcome on them.
At the beginning of the match Muhammad Amir and Junaid Khan restrict the openers of South Africa for Hitting big shots and spinners paly a very important role Imad Wasim and Muhammad Hafeez breakthrough by Ibw Hashim Amla and Quinton De Kock. Top 2 ODI batsman has gone. Major damage for South African team is that there Captain AB de Villiers has gone without any score bowled by Imad wasim and caught by Muhammad Hafeez. It was the first time in his ODI career he dismissed in a Golden Duck. Spinners doing his job well. And then young Hasan Ali took the charge on South African Batting lineup. He bowled dangerous man Faf du plessis and then JP Duminy and Wayne Parnell in a single over. He cause the serious damage for middle order batting line up and at last Junaid Khan who play his first game in ICC champions Trophy 2017. He bowl very well and took wickets of Chris Morris anf Kagiso Rabada. Pakistan bowlers restrict the South Africans in a low total.
They score 219 in 50 overs. David Miller was not out he took his time and score 75 in 105 balls. He hits 1 four and 3 sixes. In return Pakistan score 119 in 27 overs of losing three wickets and won the match by 19 runs by (D/L) method.
