In the beginning Hyderabad was one of the cities where shortage of basic necessities are found then by the passage of time Hyderabad was built when people started preferring to live here. As far as Hyderabad history keeps many interesting stories in building of its own worth as same as Hyderabad had faced many issues of basic necessities and one the biggest deprivation of the basic necessity is water crisis in which Hyderabad had to face 150 people’s deaths because of importing poisonous water from keenjhar lake during the crisis of water in Hyderabad in 2005. This issue was raised in united nations as well in which a complete report was published. After this tragic incident Pakistan army strived to remove the shortage of drinking water in Hyderabad in this aspect Pakistan Army located 10 water filter plants in Qasimabad, Latifabad and Hyderabad city which provided much facility to Hyderabad.

Parvez Musharraf started funding in serving water to Hyderabad then a new scheme C.D.W.A (clean and drinking water for all) was started and this scheme served a quantity of people of Hyderabad then this scheme faced many troubles to be continuing, after 2 years this scheme stopped. If we go through the era after 2010, Hyderabadi people faced many difficulties for water, people started searching out the ways for getting water from their own houses like digging for boring water for getting the earth water whether the water sweet, bitter or smelly, but in this aspect people of Hyderabad did not get much success and they found bitter and smelly water that could not be drunk. Near to unit no: 7 one filter plant was running till 8 years on the behalf of residents, after a long era of 8 years it was closed due to not having the proper funding and its maintenance. in this era, from 2005 till now government and Pakistani army have located 110 water filter plants In Qasimabad , Hyderabad city , Latifabad in which 35 water filter plants have been useless and demolished due to not having the proper maintenance and 75 water filter plants are running but they are just running, in reality they are not filtering the water.

The steps of filtering the water are:
1) It directly filters the sand by sand filter.
2) Five micron are used for filtration.
3) Carbon purifier is used to remove the smell in water.
4) 1 micron filtration.
5) Ultra violet stalizer system is used to remove bacteria and viruses.
Five micron and 1 micron filtration have validities of one month and media of sand and carbon, silica sand and activated carbon have validities of every three years. Every filter plant must go through from these all steps to secure their water and keep it filtered, but in Hyderabad government does not look after the water filter plants and the responsible people who have authority to look them after they have been corrupted.
