Democracy

U.S. president during his recent visit to India stated a statement that "democracy is the only way to develop" .It is so because western world or modern world will only accept you developed when you follow their norms and trends and India very actively followed the democratic setup of west. But the question is why only democracy will lead to development and prosperity.

When democracy is all about freedom, individual freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of expression and many other possible forms of freedom so why other states who don't want to practice democracy are forced to practice it, why any other form of government is not acceptable. Not only democracy but only the copy paste version of western democracy is acceptable?

The answer is democracy, is closely linked with the further two concepts of west which are capitalism and individual freedom, one without the other is nothing. The western agenda to concentrate wealth in the particular hands would only be successful when you are free to take your decisions and no other authority would ask you about it so that you would invest your capital in the market which shows you double profit, only democracy would facilitates it.

The recent recession, increased poverty rate, hunger, homelessness are all gifts of democracy and only poor countries are suffering from all this. Pakistan is also suffering from democracy it has only facilitated corruption and restlessness, the candidate only concentrate to maintain their votes by hook or crook no developmental work is being seen.

The west should accept that democracy is the fruit of their history, culture and suffering it can not be as fruitful for others as it is for them specially to the Muslim world because they have a very distinct and different concepts to run the political,social and economical affairs.
