حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَشْهَلِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِحَيِّنَا وَمَيِّتِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشَاهِدِنَا وَغَائِبِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَصَغِيرِنَا وَكَبِيرِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَذَكَرِنَا وَأُنْثَانَا . قَالَ يَحْيَى:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَادَ فِيهِ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ أَحْيَيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَأَحْيِهِ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ تَوَفَّيْتَهُ مِنَّا فَتَوَفَّهُ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ . قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَابِرٍ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ وَالِدِ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْسَلًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَدِيثُ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ غَيْرُ مَحْفُوظٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِكْرِمَةُ رُبَّمَا يَهِمُ فِي حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُوِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وسَمِعْت مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَصَحُّ الرِّوَايَاتِ فِي هَذَا حَدِيثُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَشْهَلِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اسْمِ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ.

Urdu Translation

ابوابراہیم اشہلی کے والد رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز جنازہ پڑھتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: «اللهم اغفر لحينا وميتنا وشاهدنا وغائبنا وصغيرنا وكبيرنا وذكرنا وأنثانا» ”اے اللہ! بخش دے ہمارے زندوں کو، ہمارے مردوں کو، ہمارے حاضر کو اور ہمارے غائب کو، ہمارے چھوٹے کو اور ہمارے بڑے کو، ہمارے مردوں کو اور ہماری عورتوں کو“۔ یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر کہتے ہیں: ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن نے مجھ سے بیان کیا کہ ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی کے مثل روایت کی ہے۔ البتہ اس میں اتنا زیادہ ہے: «اللهم من أحييته منا فأحيه على الإسلام ومن توفيته منا فتوفه على الإيمان» ”اے اللہ! ہم میں سے جسے تو زندہ رکھ، اسے اسلام پر زندہ رکھ اور جسے موت دے اسے ایمان پر موت دے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوابراہیم کے والد کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ہشام دستوائی اور علی بن مبارک نے یہ حدیث بطریق: «يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي سلمة بن عبدالرحمٰن عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» مرسلاً روایت کی ہے، اور عکرمہ بن عمار نے بطریق: «يحيى بن أبي كثير عن أبي سلمة عن عائشة عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» روایت کی ہے۔ عکرمہ بن عمار کی حدیث غیر محفوظ ہے۔ عکرمہ کو بسا اوقات یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر کی حدیث میں وہم ہو جاتا ہے۔ نیز یہ «يحيى بن أبي كثير» سے «عن عبد الله بن أبي قتادة عن أبيه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» کے طریق سے بھی مروی ہے، میں نے محمد بن اسماعیل بخاری کو کہتے سنا کہ اس سلسلے میں یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر کی حدیث جسے انہوں نے بطریق: «أبي إبراهيم الأشهلي عن أبيه» روایت کی ہے سب سے زیادہ صحیح روایت ہے۔ میں نے ان سے ابوابراہیم کا نام پوچھا تو وہ اسے نہیں جان سکے، ۲- اس باب میں عبدالرحمٰن، عائشہ، ابوقتادہ، عوف بن مالک اور جابر رضی الله عنہ سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

English Translation

Abu Ibrahim Al-Ashhali narrated : from his father who said: When the Messenger of Allah would perform the Salat for the funeral he would said: (Allahammaghfir li-hayyina wa mayyittina, wa shahidina wa gha'ibina, wa saghirina wa kabirina, wa dhakarina wa unthana) 'O Allah! Forgive our living and our deceased, our present and our absent, our young and our old, our male and our female.'
