حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثَلَاثٌ لَا تُؤَخِّرْهَا:‏‏‏‏ الصَّلَاةُ إِذَا أَتَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْجَنَازَةُ إِذَا حَضَرَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَيِّمُ إِذَا وَجَدْتَ لَهَا كُفْئًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا أَرَى إِسْنَادَهُ بِمُتَّصِلٍ.

Urdu Translation

علی بن ابی طالب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: ”علی! تین چیزوں میں دیر نہ کرو: نماز کو جب اس کا وقت ہو جائے، جنازہ کو جب آ جائے، اور بیوہ ( کے نکاح ) کو جب تم اس کا کفو ( مناسب ہمسر ) پا لو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث غریب ہے، ۲- میں اس کی سند متصل نہیں جانتا۔

English Translation

Ali bin Abi Talib narrated that: The Messenger of Allah said to him: O Ali! Three are not to be delayed: Salat when it is due, the funeral when it is presented, and (marriage) for the single woman when someone compatible is found.
