حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ هُوَ ابْنُ السَّبَّاقِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ أَلْقَى مِنَ الْمَذْيِ شِدَّةً وَعَنَاءً فَكُنْتُ أُكْثِرُ مِنْهُ الْغُسْلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا يُجْزِئُكَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْوُضُوءُ ،‏‏‏‏ فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ بِمَا يُصِيبُ ثَوْبِي مِنْهُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ كَفًّا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَتَنْضَحَ بِهِ ثَوْبَكَ حَيْثُ تَرَى أَنَّهُ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق فِي الْمَذْيِ مِثْلَ هَذَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي الْمَذْيِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يُجْزِئُ إِلَّا الْغَسْلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ:‏‏‏‏ يُجْزِئُهُ النَّضْحُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ أَحْمَدُ:‏‏‏‏ أَرْجُو أَنْ يُجْزِئَهُ النَّضْحُ بِالْمَاءِ.

Urdu Translation

سہل بن حنیف رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھے مذی کی وجہ سے پریشانی اور تکلیف سے دوچار ہونا پڑتا تھا، میں اس کی وجہ سے کثرت سے غسل کیا کرتا تھا، میں نے اس کا ذکر رسول اللہ صلی الله علیہ وسلم سے کیا اور اس سلسلے میں پوچھا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”اس کے لیے تمہیں وضو کافی ہے“، میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اگر وہ کپڑے میں لگ جائے تو کیا کروں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: تو ایک چلو پانی لے اور اسے کپڑے پر جہاں جہاں دیکھے کہ وہ لگی ہے چھڑک لے یہ تمہارے لیے کافی ہو گا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ہم مذی کے سلسلہ میں اس طرح کی روایت محمد بن اسحاق کے طریق سے ہی جانتے ہیں، ۳- کپڑے میں مذی لگ جانے کے سلسلہ میں اہل علم میں اختلاف ہے، بعض کا قول ہے کہ دھونا ضروری ہے، یہی شافعی اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا قول ہے، اور بعض اس بات کے قائل ہیں کہ پانی چھڑک لینا کافی ہو گا۔ امام احمد کہتے ہیں: مجھے امید ہے کہ پانی چھڑک لینا کافی ہو گا ۱؎۔

English Translation

Sahl bin Hunaif said: I suffered from a severe and troubling case of Al-Madhi. I was performing Ghusl often because of it. So I mentioned that to Allah's Messenger and asked him about it. He said: You only need to perform Wudu for that. I said: O Messenger of Allah! How about when it gets on my clothes? He said: It is sufficient for you to take a handful of water and sprinkle it n your garment wherever you see that it has touched it.
