Narrated Ibn 'Umar: That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim, he doesn't oppress him and doesn't put him into ruin, and whoever is concerned for the needs of his brother, Allah is concerned for his needs, and whoever relieves a Muslim of a burden, Allah will relieve him of a burden from the burdens of the Day of Judgement and whoever covers (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will cover (his faults) on the Day of Judgement.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ أَخِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ كَانَ اللَّهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَمَنْ فَرَّجَ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ كُرْبَةً،‏‏‏‏ فَرَّجَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرَبِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ،‏‏‏‏ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا،‏‏‏‏ سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ.

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”مسلمان مسلمان کا بھائی ہے ۱؎، نہ اس پر ظلم کرتا ہے اور نہ اس کی مدد چھوڑتا ہے، اور جو اپنے بھائی کی حاجت پوری کرنے میں لگا ہو اللہ اس کی حاجت پوری کرنے میں لگا ہوتا ہے، جو اپنے کسی مسلمان کی پریشانی دور کرتا ہے اللہ اس کی وجہ سے اس سے قیامت کی پریشانیوں میں سے کوئی پریشانی دور کرے گا، اور جو کسی مسلمان کے عیب پر پردہ ڈالے گا اللہ قیامت کے دن اس کے عیب پر پردہ ڈالے گا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن صحیح غریب ہے۔
