Ibn 'Umar narrated that : the Prophet said: Among the most dutiful of deeds is that a man nurture relations with the people his father was friends with.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ أَبَرَّ الْبِرِّ أَنْ يَصِلَ الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَ وُدِّ أَبِيهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي أَسِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”سب سے بہتر سلوک اور سب سے اچھا برتاؤ یہ ہے کہ آدمی اپنے باپ کے دوستوں کے ساتھ صلہ رحمی کرے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ سند صحیح ہے، یہ حدیث ابن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے کئی سندوں سے آئی ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابواسید رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت ہے۔
