Abu Hurairah narrated that: the Messenger of Allah said: A son could not do enough for his father, unless he found him as a slave and purchased him to set him free.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَجْزِي وَلَدٌ وَالِدًا إِلَّا أَنْ يَجِدَهُ مَمْلُوكًا فَيَشْتَرِيَهُ فَيُعْتِقَهُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تین دعائیں مقبول ہوتی ہیں ان میں کوئی شک نہیں ہے: مظلوم کی دعا، مسافر کی دعا اور بیٹے کے اوپر باپ کی بد دعا“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- حجاج صواف نے بھی یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر سے ہشام کی حدیث جیسی حدیث روایت کی ہے، ابو جعفر جنہوں نے ابوہریرہ سے روایت کی ہے انہیں ابو جعفر مؤذن کہا جاتا ہے، ہم ان کا نام نہیں جانتے ہیں، ۲- ان سے یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر نے کئی حدیثیں روایت کی ہیں۔
