Baab Khaane Ke Mutaliq Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا حَسَدَ إِلَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ:‏‏‏‏ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالًا فَهُوَ يُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهُوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَآنَاءَ النَّهَارِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوُ هَذَا.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”صرف دو آدمیوں پر رشک کرنا چاہیئے، ایک اس آدمی پر جس کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے مال دیا اور وہ اس میں سے رات دن ( اللہ کی راہ میں ) خرچ کرتا ہے، دوسرا اس آدمی پر جس کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے علم قرآن دیا اور وہ رات دن اس کا حق ادا کرتا ہے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ابن مسعود اور ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہما کے واسطہ سے بھی نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی طرح کی حدیث آئی ہے۔

English Translation

Salim narrated from his father who said that the Messenger of Allah said: There is to be no envy except for two: A man to whom Allah grants wealth and he spends from it during the hours of the night and the hours of the day. And a man to whom Allah grants (memorization of) the Quran so he stands with it (in prayer) during the hours of the night and the hours of the day.
