Baab Elaaj Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ فِيهَا شِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلَّا السَّامَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالسَّامُ:‏‏‏‏ الْمَوْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَائِشَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَبَّةُ السَّوْدَاءُ:‏‏‏‏ هِيَ الشُّونِيزُ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تم لوگ اس کالے دانہ ( کلونجی ) کو لازمی استعمال کرو اس لیے کہ اس میں «سام» کے علاوہ ہر بیماری کی شفاء موجود ہے، «سام» موت کو کہتے ہیں“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں بریدہ، ابن عمر اور عائشہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- «الحبة السوداء»،‏‏‏‏ «شونيز» ( کلونجی ) کو کہتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: Use this black seed. For indeed it contains a cure for every disease except As-Sam And As-Sam is death.
