Baab Elaaj Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ وَهُوَ أَبُو حَاتِمْ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ الزُّرَقِيِّ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتَ عُمَيْسٍ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ وَلَدَ جَعْفَرٍ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ الْعَيْنُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ الْقَدَرَ لَسَبَقَتْهُ الْعَيْنُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبُرَيْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Urdu Translation

عبید بن رفاعہ زرقی رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   اسماء بنت عمیس رضی الله عنہا نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! جعفر طیار رضی الله عنہ کے لڑکوں کو بہت جلد نظر بد لگ جاتی ہے، کیا میں ان کے لیے جھاڑ پھونک کراؤں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ہاں، اس لیے کہ اگر کوئی چیز تقدیر پر سبقت کر سکتی تو اس پر نظر بد ضرور سبقت کرتی“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث «عن أيوب عن عمرو بن دينار عن عروة بن عامر عن عبيد بن رفاعة عن أسماء بنت عميس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» کی سند سے بھی مروی ہے، ۳- اس باب میں عمران بن حصین اور بریدہ رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔

English Translation

Asma' bint 'Umaish said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allah (S.A.W)! Some of Ja'far's children have suffered from an accelerated case of the inflammation of the eye, so should I have them treated with Ruqyah?' He said: 'Yes,for indeed if there was anything that could overcome the Decree, then the evil eye would overcome it.
