حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ، وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، ومالك بن أنس، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، وَيُرْوَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ دِينَارٍ حِينَ حَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَذِنَ لِي حَتَّى كُنْتُ أَقُومُ إِلَيْهِ فَأُقَبِّلُ رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَى يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ وَهْمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهِمَ فِيهِ يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَتَفَرَّدَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی الله عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ولاء کے بیچنے اور اسے ہبہ کرنے سے منع فرمایا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- ہم اسے صرف عبداللہ بن دینار کے واسطہ سے ابن عمر کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں، اور وہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں، آپ نے ولاء بیچنے اور اسے ہبہ کرنے سے منع فرمایا۔ شعبہ، سفیان ثوری اور مالک بن انس نے بھی یہ حدیث عبداللہ بن دینار سے روایت ہے۔ شعبہ سے مروی ہے، انہوں نے کہا: میری خواہش تھی کہ عبداللہ بن دینار اس حدیث کو بیان کرتے وقت مجھے اجازت دے دیتے اور میں کھڑا ہو کر ان کا سر چوم لیتا، ۳- یحییٰ بن سلیم نے اس حدیث کی روایت کرتے وقت سند یوں بیان کی ہے «عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن نافع عن ابن عمر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» لیکن اس سند میں وہم ہے اور یہ وہم یحییٰ بن سلیم کی جانب سے ہوا ہے، صحیح سند یوں ہے «عن عبيد الله بن عمر عن عبد الله بن دينار عن ابن عمر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم» ۱؎ عبیداللہ بن عمر سے اسی طرح کئی لوگوں نے روایت کی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: عبیداللہ بن دینار اس حدیث کی روایت کرنے میں منفرد ہیں۔

English Translation

Abdullah bin 'Umar narrated that : the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited selling the Wala' and [from] conferring it. [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. We do not know of it except as a narration of 'Abdullah bin Dinar from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (ﷺ). Shu'bah, Sufyan Ath-Thawri, and Malik bin Anas (also) reported it from 'Abdullah bin Dinar. It has been related that Shu'bah said: I so wished that 'Abdullah bin Dinar would permit me when he narrated this Hadith that I stand-up, so that I kiss his head. And Yahya bin Sulaim reported this Hadith from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Umar from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (ﷺ). But this is mistaken, Yahya bin Sulaim erred in it, what is correct is: From 'Ubaidullah bin 'Umar, from 'Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (ﷺ). This is how it is reported by more than one narrator from 'Ubaidullah bin 'Umar. [Abu 'Eisa said:] And 'Abdullah bin Dinar is alone with this Hadith.
