Abu Hurairah narrated: When Allah's Messenger performed the Takbir for Salat he would spread his fingers.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِمْعَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَبَّرَ لِلصَّلَاةِ نَشَرَ أَصَابِعَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:‏‏‏‏ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِمْعَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَدًّا وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ رِوَايَةِ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْيَمَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَخْطَأَ يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز کے لیے اللہ اکبر کہتے تو اپنی انگلیاں کھلی رکھتے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- ابوہریرہ کی حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- دیگر کئی لوگوں نے یہ حدیث بطریق «ابن أبي ذئب عن سعيد بن سمعان عن أبي هريرة» روایت کی ہے ( ان کے الفاظ ہیں ) کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب نماز میں داخل ہوتے تو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ خوب اچھی طرح اٹھاتے تھے۔ یہ روایت یحییٰ بن یمان کی روایت سے زیادہ صحیح ہے، یحییٰ بن یمان کی روایت غلط ہے ان سے اس حدیث میں غلطی ہوئی ہے، ( اس کی وضاحت آگے آ رہی ہے ) ۔
