Baab Fitno Aur Jungon Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ حَيْوَةَ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، أَنَّ الْوَلِيدَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ التُّجِيبِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ، قَالَ سَالِمٌ، أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي الْهَيْثَمِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا تُصَاحِبْ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا يَأْكُلْ طَعَامَكَ إِلَّا تَقِيٌّ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: ”مومن کے سوا کسی کی صحبت اختیار نہ کرو، اور تمہارا کھانا صرف متقی ہی کھائے“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث حسن ہے، اسے ہم صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Abu Sa'eed narrated that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said: Do not accompany except a believer, and do not serve your food except to one with Taqwa.
