Baab Mehdi Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ الْعِجْلِيِّ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ شَغَافٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا الصُّورُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَرْنٌ يُنْفَخُ فِيهِ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِهِ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک اعرابی ( دیہاتی ) نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آ کر عرض کیا: «صور» کیا چیز ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”ایک سنکھ ہے جس میں پھونک ماری جائے گی“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- کئی لوگوں نے سلیمان تیمی سے اس حدیث کی روایت کی ہے، اسے ہم صرف سلیمان تیمی کی روایت سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet (S.a.w) and said: 'What is the Sur?' He said: 'A horn that will be blown into'
