Baab Mehdi Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانٌ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ الْأُسَيِّدِيِّ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَكُونُونَ كَمَا تَكُونُونَ عِنْدِي لَأَظَلَّتْكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بِأَجْنِحَتِهَا ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ الْأُسَيْدِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وفي الباب عن أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

Urdu Translation

حنظلہ اسیدی رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر تمہاری وہی کیفیت رہے، جیسی میرے سامنے ہوتی ہے تو فرشتے اپنے پروں سے تم پر سایہ کریں“ ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث حنظلہ اسیدی کے واسطہ سے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس سند کے علاوہ دیگر سندوں سے بھی مروی ہے، ۳- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ سے بھی روایت آئی ہے۔

English Translation

Hanzalah Al-Usaiyyidi narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: If you would (always) be as you are with me, then the angels would shade you with their wings.
